SKIES OF BLUE AND SALTY SKIN

It’s been a little while since we last spoke about summer. Well, it’s officially here and boy it is arguably scary! Lol. That being said, let’s take advantage of this very time before July hits the horizon. Saadiyat Beach stays as my preferred beach to chill and get a bit of tan, and this time, I was with one of my favourite persons.

We walked along the shore and got an instant foot spa, ate, and had tons of giggle. Floated in the water, in the shallow water because your sister ain’t a swimmer, so the possibility of me drowning is imminent. Big hugs to Viv for putting up with me for, on the contrary, she’s a diver. Basically, an ocean diva, I mean almost a mermaid really!

Beaches grant comfort when you’re having a long and tiring week, a troubled mind or even a weary heart. Okay, I just made that up. Haha. I meant, going to the beach and soaking yourself with ocean water is always a good idea because of the healing power natural minerals offer. Definitely getting more out of it than just enjoyment. The weather was incredibly amazing too to even just sit on the sand, have a book or lie down and do absolutely nothing while staring the brightest sky.

I hope you take a break people, in any way, shape or form!

Love,

A DAY AT THE GREEN MUBAZZARAH

Just a brief background, the Green Mubazzarah is the largest park in the city located in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Developed by Sheikh Zayed, known as the man who turned the deserts green and the founding President of the UAE. Green Mubazzarah is not just a park but also a historic place that the locals hold dear in their hearts. The place is situated at the base of the grand Jebel Hafeet, with its beautiful and lush natural landscapes and desert oasis it has become one of the top destinations for picnic and relaxation during the weekends and holidays.

As expected, yesterday the place was jam-packed with families and group of friends having picnic and quality time. Evidently, my friends and I joined in, we packed our lunch and drove to the place. It took about 25 minutes from the town centre and it will be almost 45 minutes if you’ll take the bus. If you fancy staying overnight, you surely can because Green Mubazzarah has chalets for rent. Check booking.com for the charges.

It is just so fun having to spend the time under the sun, having a meal and lay down the grass to relax and get away from the busy streets of the city. Catching up with my friends is definitely one of the things I should do more. After a long week, it’s right to have a break and do nothing but giggle and chill.

Well, that is it for now. I hope you all are having a lovely weekend!
